Prognosis
The prognosis of chancroid is good with antibiotic treatment.[76] Pain usually resolves within 3 days of treatment and ulcers generally heal within 1-2 weeks, although larger ulcers may take more than 2 weeks to heal. Resolution of fluctuant lymphadenitis may take longer. In some cases, scarring may still occur, even with successful treatment. Relapse is rare.[15][49][72]
