Reassurance can be given once the diagnosis of DJS is confirmed, as no specific treatment is required. There is no increased risk of morbidity or mortality associated with jaundice.[45] Unnecessary invasive diagnostic procedures should be avoided. Avoiding oral contraceptives has been recommended, as they may precipitate jaundice.[46]
