Hemolytic anemia

Patients should have their complete blood count monitored periodically for evidence of response and relapse. Autoimmune hemolytic anemia often relapses in adults, so any symptoms of anemia or hemolysis should be evaluated promptly. Patients with diabetes who are taking corticosteroids require closer monitoring of blood glucose levels.
