Gynecomastia

All forms of gynecomastia can be exacerbated or recur if obesity increases, because of the presence of aromatase in adipose tissue. Resolution of longstanding gynecomastia (>12 months) with medical therapy is less likely, as fibrous tissue is less likely to respond.
