Prognosis
There is no cure for genital warts, and recurrence is not uncommon. The goal of treatment is to eliminate visible lesions. There is no evidence showing that treatment affects the natural course of human papillomavirus infection.[71] If left untreated, 10% to 30% of genital warts will resolve spontaneously within 3 months.[20]
