Criteria

Epler and Colby pathologic criteria[1][2]

The pathologic features of OP include:

  • Organized polypoid granulation inflammatory tissue in the distal bronchiole airways, respiratory bronchioles, alveolar ducts, and alveoli

  • Absence of extensive interstitial fibrosis

  • Absence of traction bronchiectasis

  • Absence of histologic honeycombing.
