Retinal vein occlusion

Loss of vision can result from the development of neovascularisation, macular oedema, or macular ischaemia. The risk diminishes with time since the RVO occurred.

Patients, especially those with central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) or branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO), should be monitored for symptoms of vitreous haemorrhage.
