Primary prevention

There is growing interest in the prevention of psoriatic arthritis (PsA). The transition from psoriasis to PsA is an opportunity to identify which patients are at increased risk of developing PsA, such as those with:[25]

  • The presence of additional risk factors, including: obesity, arthralgia, scalp psoriasis, a first-degree relative with PsA, or associated genes.
