Patient discussions
The patient is typically seen within 24-48 hours postoperatively, with frequency and timing of subsequent visits depending on visual function and medical condition of the eye.[35]
Inform patients about activity restrictions, postoperative eye protection, medicine instructions, required visits, and signs and symptoms of possible complications.[35]
Many patients receiving a monofocal lens need a spectacle correction to achieve their best acuity following cataract surgery. The glasses prescription is usually given about 1 month after surgery.
