Anti-glomerular basement membrane (Goodpasture's) disease

Patients are advised to watch out for recurrence of their symptoms and to seek immediate evaluation if they do recur. However, relapses are rare. Cigarette smoking should be avoided. Regular monitoring by the primary care doctor and nephrologist is advised to manage any residual kidney disease or hypertension.
