Tricyclic antidepressant overdose

After the patient is medically stabilised, he or she should have an inpatient psychiatric assessment to monitor danger to self, analyse the overdose motivations, and assess psychiatric symptoms. Decide upon an action and treatment plan, including medication choices. Outpatient psychiatric follow-up may be necessary.
