Patient discussions
For patients who achieve a complete remission after completion of chemotherapy, education regarding disease recurrence is important. Symptoms indicating recurrence include nausea and emesis, dyspepsia, early satiety, change in bowel habits, and abdominal bloating. Constitutional symptoms such as anorexia and weight loss are also of concern. Patients should report these symptoms to their physician so that further evaluation can be done if necessary.
