Patient discussions

The patient (or caregiver) should be advised to consult with their physician if there is a recurrence of symptoms (e.g., bone pain, abdominal pain, fatigue, weight loss).

Treatment for aggressive neuroblastoma requires high-dose chemotherapy, which is associated with long-term adverse effects including secondary malignancies.[130]​ Long-term follow-up with physicians familiar with the management of chemotherapy-related adverse effects is recommended to maximise quality of life for survivors.
