Monitoring
No routine monitoring or screening is recommended for the average woman for PP. Painless bleeding in the second or third trimester should be investigated and PP ruled out. Those women with a history of previous uterine incision should be screened to rule out placenta accreta spectrum.[4][92]
If a PP is found incidentally on early ultrasound, it should be followed up to resolution with serial ultrasound examinations.
