Prognosis
It is important at the outset to inform the patient that keloid scarring is a very difficult condition to treat. There is no uniform successful strategy, and the response of any single patient to treatment is unpredictable and highly variable. In addition, the response to any form of treatment may not necessarily be sustained, and relapse can occur.[33][76]
