Prognosis
Miliaria crystallina and rubra are common conditions and are transient with no long-lasting sequelae. In contrast, miliaria profunda is less common, slower to resolve, and may be associated with transient sequelae (it is mainly asymptomatic).
Miliaria crystallina
Transient condition with prompt spontaneous resolution; a few hours in a cool environment will often bring quick relief.[10]
Miliaria rubra
Transient condition with improvement after several days in a cooler environment. However, complete resolution can take 2 to 3 weeks.[1]
Miliaria profunda
Although the eruption is a result of multiple bouts of miliaria rubra, the actual eruption phase of miliaria profunda is more transient than that of miliaria rubra, usually lasting less than 1 hour after overheating has ended.[4]
