Monitoring
Little is known about potential long-term health effects of bioterrorism-related Bacillus anthracis infection. Given the chronic mental and physical health problems associated with victims of bioterrorism, close follow-up is recommended. Physical rehabilitation and psychiatric care should be paired to maximize improvement in health-related quality of life. No definitive guidelines for follow-up exist; frequency of monitoring should be determined on a case-by-case basis.[74]
