Osteochondritis dissecans

All patients should be referred to and followed by an orthopedic surgeon. If treated conservatively, patients should be followed until the lesion demonstrates healing. If the patient requires surgical intervention, postoperative management is decided by the treating orthopedic surgeon. The patient will need close follow-up until the symptoms have resolved or the patient's condition has reached a plateau and no other intervention is warranted.
