First described in 1965, this is the presentation of both livedo reticularis with stroke and hypertension in the absence of a recognized collagen vascular disease or infection.[41]
INVESTIGATIONS
Antiphospholipid antibodies may be present but are not a diagnostic criterion for Sneddon syndrome. There are other causes.

Presents with venous thromboembolism (in particular, apparently spontaneous events) at an early age; family history of venous thromboembolism.
INVESTIGATIONS
Reduced levels of protein C, free protein S level, antithrombin activity, activated protein C resistance, and/or factor V Leiden and/or prothrombin gene mutation (G-20210-A).
