Prognosis
CF is a genetic disease for which there is no cure. However, patients alive today can expect increased treatment options and longer life spans (e.g., individuals born with CF may live to 56 years, with half predicted to live beyond 65 years).[10][151]
Data (2018) from cystic fibrosis registries from Canada, Ireland and the UK report median survival ages from 44 to 52 years.[7]
