Orbital fractures

Eyelid swelling may last for up to 1 to 2 weeks; bruising may last longer. Vision can be impaired for 1 to 2 weeks after surgery, but full resolution may not occur for many months, and vision may not return to the pre-injury level of function. Diplopia is a particular problem if persistent.
