Follow-up every 6 months is useful to evaluate for disease progression. Use of the Hueston table-top test and appropriate staging of Dupuytren's contracture are essential during follow-up sessions.[49][50] The risk of postoperative recurrence increases with severity of the contracture. The longer a deformity is present, the greater the chance of the joint contracture becoming irreversible.
