Urticaria and angio-oedema

Patients with urticaria and/or angio-oedema should be followed up until lesions resolve or satisfactory treatment is achieved. When symptoms are adequately controlled, follow-up intervals can be increased.

Patients requiring chronic use of systemic corticosteroids or alternative anti-inflammatory or immunomodulating agents should be closely monitored by a specialist. Routine laboratory tests should be obtained in patients requiring alternative anti-inflammatory or immunomodulating agents to monitor for adverse effects.
