Epidemiology

The incidence of paraphimosis is unknown. Only isolated case reports exist in the literature. Due to the fact that most cases are iatrogenically or inadvertently induced, precise reporting of the condition may be compromised. Additionally, some patients may not report the condition or may allow it to evolve into the chronic form.[4] It can occur at any age but is most common in children and older people.[5]
