Monitoring

In uncomplicated erythema infectiosum, there is no long-term monitoring recommended. In patients with aplastic anaemia or immunosuppression, monitoring of haematological parameters is recommended. Pregnant women at risk of fetal complications should be followed closely with testing as directed by an obstetrician. Routine screening during pregnancy is not advised unless there are symptoms or known exposure to the virus.[26]
