Rift Valley fever

Asymptomatic cases are common and are often undetected, and therefore unreported. However, asymptomatic cases can give insight to the true impact and transmission of Rift Valley fever virus (RVFV) in a specific region. Despite the lack of symptoms, asymptomatic cases can contribute to the spread of RVFV to livestock and other humans, primarily through mosquito transmission.
