Monitoring
Women should be evaluated every 3 months for treatment response and development of any adverse effects. Once stable, monitoring is every 6 months.
Combination therapy may be required to achieve results in ameliorating hyper-androgenism.
Long growth cycle of hair follicles mandates that treatments directed against hirsutism not be abandoned prematurely. Medical therapy against hirsutism should be given for at least 6 months before deciding on efficacy.[12][130]
Women undergoing hormonal infertility treatment (letrozole, clomifene, gonadotrophins, assisted reproductive technologies) will require frequent follow-up.
