Explain to patients that treatment of KS does not eradicate the human herpesvirus-8, and the risk for future KS persists even after complete remission.[2]
Advise patients to look for any new lesions and/or associated lymphoedema, and report them to their healthcare provider. Patients may wish to consult online guidance and advice.
