Patient discussions

Alcohol should be avoided during treatment. Physical exertion should be limited. After the completion of treatment, physical exertion should also be limited during the first 6 months. Good hygiene to avoid infections is essential. A physician should be contacted if fever or reappearance of neurologic or psychiatric symptoms occur.
