Monitoring
Ophthalmologic, neurologic, or neuro-ophthalmologic follow-up needed initially to document recovery of visual function. If the patient is at risk of clinically definite multiple sclerosis (CDMS) (e.g., abnormal MRI scan), consider follow-up and assessment for eligibility for disease-modifying treatment by repeat MRI approximately every 6 months to look for evidence of recurrent CNS inflammation. If the patient has established multiple sclerosis (MS) or another underlying inflammatory disease, follow up in the appropriate clinic.
