Screening
Children with syndromes with increased risk of Wilms tumor should have a renal ultrasound every 3 months from birth until age 7 years.[31][76] Particular attention should be given to identification of nephrogenic rests that could increase the likelihood of developing a Wilms tumor.[77][78][79] Additionally, genetic and prenatal counseling should be offered to parents with family history.[32][33]
