Patients should be advised to seek hospital treatment if they rebleed. They should also be advised to limit their use of alcohol and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Patients with lower gastrointestinal bleeding due to angiodysplasias should be advised to avoid NSAIDs (excluding aspirin).[73]
