Breech presentation

Fetal presentation should be assessed using clinical examination at each prenatal visit in late second and third trimesters.

Any women with suspected breech or other noncephalic presentation, or those difficult to assess (e.g., with abnormal amniotic fluid volume or placental anomalies), should have an ultrasound to confirm fetal presentation.
