Screening
A 5-minute exam of the skin is considered an appropriate screen for AKs, especially in high-risk patients (e.g., men, light-colored skin, middle-aged and older, chronically exposed to the sun, and living in lower latitudes, as well as people with albinism, people with xeroderma pigmentosum, and immunosuppressed patients).[2][78]
