Prognosis
Generally the clinical outcome is good, but severe cases and mortality have been reported.[59][60] It is difficult to determine the extent of mortality attributed to this pathogen, due to the lack of routine diagnosis.[59] Severe debilitating neurologic complications such as myelitis and strokes are well documented.[59]
