Perfluorohexyloctane
Perfluorohexyloctane ophthalmic solution is a treatment option for patients with dry eye disease and is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for this indication.[1] Two phase 3 clinical trials found that perfluorohexyloctane reduced signs and symptoms of dry eye disease compared with placebo in patients with dry eye disease associated with meibomian gland dysfunction.[58][59]
