Monitoring
In patients with intestinal infection, stools are to be re-examined at 1 to 3 months after antiparasitic therapy. In some cases treatment can be given again if there is evidence of persistent or recurrent infection.[59]
Patients who are treated with albendazole for more than 14 days should be monitored for leukopenia and hepatotoxicity.[33]
Magnetic resonance imaging should be repeated at least every 6 months in patients with neurocysticercosis until resolution of the cystic lesions.[33]
