Patient discussions
Patients should undergo pneumonia and flu vaccination. Good hydration should be maintained to avoid renal complications. Use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be minimized, contrast dyes avoided with radiologic exams, and infections treated promptly.
