Monitoring
Renal function should be monitored if patients are septic or if treated with aminoglycosides. Monitor serum drug levels in patients on aminoglycosides or chloramphenicol, if available.
Serology can be checked after 4 weeks if the diagnosis remains in doubt.
Other follow-up will depend on the patient's clinical condition.
