Complications
Presents 1 to 3 weeks after yersiniosis and usually affects joints in the lower limbs. It is more common in adult patients who are HLA-B27 genotype-positive. Antibiotics have not been shown to alter the likelihood of postinfectious sequelae, such as reactive arthritis.[38]
Erythema nodosum after yersiniosis is an immunologic complication that seems more common in adult women.
