Nasal polyps

Case history

A 35-year-old man presents with a 1-year history of bilateral nasal obstruction and congestion. He also reports frequent nasal discharge, mucus in the throat, and coughing bouts. He suffers from intermittent facial discomfort, characterized by a feeling of pressure and fullness in the nose and paranasal sinuses. He complains of an absent sense of smell and reduced ability to taste his food.
