Antenatal ultrasound
Routine antenatal ultrasounds may be effective in identifying clubfoot deformities in utero.[19][20][21] These can be helpful for antenatal consultation, especially if there is a family history. This allows the families to research and prepare for their child's future.[21]
The true-positive predictive value is 83%.[19][20] It is important to inform parents about false-positive results during antenatal consultations (29% with a unilateral diagnosis, and 7% with a bilateral diagnosis).[19][20]
