Misoprostol: oral and sublingual routes of administration

Misoprostol may be administered sublingually or orally. Despite the differences in frequency and intensity of side effects, the overall comparative outcomes with an intravaginal route of administration are similar.[126] Initial studies also suggest that treatment with sublingual or oral misoprostol seem to have high patient acceptability and satisfaction.[127] A lower-dose regimen has predictably fewer associated side effects and cost implications. Dopamine agonists

Dopamine agonists have been studied in women with idiopathic hyperprolactinemia who have a history of recurrent miscarriage. However, a review of a single randomised trial found that there is insufficient evidence to evaluate the efficacy of these drugs.[128]
