Inhalation injury

Patients discharged early after exposure should be made aware of the potential for delayed onset of inhalation injury, and instructed to seek medical attention immediately with the onset of new symptoms, particularly respiratory and neurological symptoms. Additionally, a follow-up for physical examination and spirometry should be scheduled.
