Screening
There is no benefit from screening for vitiligo. Vitiligo is more common in patients with a family history of vitiligo or other autoimmune disorders.
Patients with halo naevi (a melanocytic naevus surrounded by a halo of depigmentation) may be more likely to develop vitiligo, and should have a total body skin examination for additional lesions.
