Prevention of gastric ulceration
Patients taking high-dose oral corticosteroid should be considered for gastro-protection with either an H2-receptor blocker or proton-pump inhibitor.
Prevention of infection
Patients receiving long-term immunosuppressant therapies should be considered for immunisation, avoiding live vaccines.
