Hypopituitarism

Patients need extensive education on hypopituitarism and the life-threatening consequences if medication regimens are not followed closely. They need to be instructed on the importance of sick-day dose adjustments of hydrocortisone replacement.

Patients should wear a medical identification bracelet or necklace documenting their diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency, hypopituitarism, or diabetes insipidus.
