The patient should be educated about the adverse effect profile, including the increased risk of cataracts and glaucoma, the risks of topical corticosteroid therapy, and the risk of abrupt discontinuation. In cases requiring systemic immunosuppression, patients should receive a detailed explanation of the risks of treatment.

Vision rehabilitation is important for patients with uveitis with any degree of vision loss. The aims are to optimise patients' reading, daily living activities, safety, well-being, and community engagement.[48][49]
