Cognitive behavioural therapy
Cognitive behavioural therapy is gaining traction as a post-injury therapy, especially in patients at risk of a more protracted recovery from mild traumatic brain injury due in part to maladaptive illness beliefs. Several factors can contribute to a prolonged return to sport/activity, and using mental health resources could be a well-tolerated method that might aid in recovery and adjustment.[77]
