Pneumothorax
UK guidelines advise using the level of the hilum to measure the size of a pneumothorax. However, other countries may use other methods; for example US guidelines use the distance from the lung apex to the cupola, but this method would tend to overestimate the volume of a localised apical pneumothorax.
